Our boxes and parcel tape are included in our ALL IN PRICE. Just choose the number of boxes you require and we will send them to you with a generous amount of parcel tape.

Yes you can store your own boxes! The cost varies by size, but we will collect all of your items! Please make sure your boxes are double-walled and under our 25kg weight limit.

Yes - we can also store other items, such as musical instruments and clothing rack, so long as they are properly packaged and do not exceed our standard weight limit of 25kg.

If you have a requirement to store something that’s an odd shape and not in a box, please contact us for a quote.

No Items ( eg Boxes, Holdalls, Suitcases or Own Boxes) whether supplied by Door2DoorBoardingStorage or by you, should exceed the maximum weight limit of 25kg.

Any items exceeding the maximum weight limit will be subject to the following:

A penalty for the item being overweight, whereby any Item exceeding the maximum weight limit of 25kg will incur a penalty fee of £30 plus £1 per kilo per item in excess of 25kg,

Any item over 30kgwill incur a penalty fee of £50 plus £2 per kilo per item in excess of 30kg.

Any item over 40kg will incur a penalty fee of £75 plus £2 per kiloper item in excess of 30kg

In addition Door2Door Student Storage reserves the right to repack the overweight storage containers into additional (or more) boxes so that each weighs no more than 25kg. A charge of £10 per box packed by us for this will also be applied.

Yes, please see the list below:

1. Food, perishable goods unless packed so that they are protected from and do not attract vermin

2. Antiques (breakable and fragile);

3. Items containing or made of glass (including mirrors);

4. Birds, fish, animals or any other living creature


5. Explosives weapons or ammunition

6. Any item which emits fumes, smell or odour

7. Combustible or flammable materials, liquids or compressed gases, including but not limited to, paint, diesel, petrol, oil, gas, artificial fertilizer or cleaning solvents

8. Chemicals, radioactive materials, biological agents

9. Toxic waste, asbestos or other materials of a dangerous nature Any other toxic, flammable or hazardous substance or preparations, classified as such under applicable law

10. Musical instruments in soft cases (hard travel cases are fine but we cannot insure them

11. Illegal or stolen goods, drugs, pornographic material or any goods prohibited by the law or regulation of any government or public or local authority or goods that require special licence or government consent for export or import.

12. Money, deeds, securities, coins, cash or negotiable instruments (including cheques and any vouchers with a face value);

Please note that although we do accept some fragile items, including crockery, mugs etc., we cannot insure them. If you are storing fragile items, please make sure they are thoroughly bubble wrapped (multiple layers) and carefully packed to ensure they are safe during transport.

We do accept electrical items, but please note that we cannot insure them.

We reserve the right to open your boxes if we suspect that the contents are in breach of our Terms of Service.

You can store with us as long as you need! If you would like to store longer please let us know here

Please let us know in advance if you more/less items so we can prepare space for them. We will collect all items with your order and then make a note on your order. Any boxes not used will be refunded!

D2D Boarding School offers storage over the holiday periods, Spring/Summer/Winter. If you need longer storage please let us know!

We deliver to all UK Mainland adresses and you can store your items as long as you need to. To have your items delivered oversea please email us at info@boardingschoolstorage.com

Unfortunately, we do not deliver on the weekends, but you can contact us at info@boardingschoolstorage.com for a possible weekend delivery quote.

We can collect your items from Monday to Friday. We’ll be with you any time between 9.00am and 6.00pm on the date you request.

We collect from all UK Mainland schools through our courier.

We are located in the Bristol area and collect from all Bristol, Bath, Gloucstershire, Cardiff schools personal, with our own van and staff! If you are unsure if we collect from your school, message us and we will let you know!

Yes we do. Every box/suitcase is covered for up to £100 both in transit and also in our warehouse. For a small additional fee you can upgrade the coverage to £200 per box/suitcase.

We currently do not insure fragile items, including but not limited to –

• any glass, glassware, crockery
• TVs, Electrical Items,
• Light bulbs,
• Printers,
• Musical Instruments,
• Improperly packed items etc.

If you are storing fragile items, please make sure they are thoroughly bubble wrapped and carefully packed to ensure they are safe during transport.

We provide plenty of parcel tape with every order. Please make sure that every box is well wrapped with parcel tape especially on all the edges of the box.
